Join us in downtown Campbell River on February 6 for music, live readings, great eats and more.
Following up on the success of the wintertime events in 2023 and 2024, the City of Campbell River (the City) is pleased to announce the third edition of A Night Out Downtown, taking place on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
Eight businesses along Shoppers Row and 11th Avenue in the heart of downtown will host entertainment and special offers starting at 4 p.m. and continuing until late.
“Bringing downtown Campbell River to life through events and partnerships with local businesses and artists is what downtown revitalization is all about,” says Mayor Kermit Dahl. “This event is unique as it adds life to Shoppers Row on a typically quiet and cold night of the year. My wife and I, alongside members of Council, will be out visiting these great venues on February 6, and we hope to see all of you there, too!”
Enjoy a sip and shop at La Tee Da Lingerie Boutique, try out retro fashion at Revival Vintage while DJ Hardwood spins vinyl, or listen to local acoustic ensemble the Awakeneers while loading up on sweets at Campbell River Candy Co. The Campbell River Art Gallery will host an open mic featuring Ben Jackson where you can also grab a drink and explore the 43rd Annual Members’ Show. Fans of local literature will want to stop by Coho Books, where local writers — including Dennis Hawkins-Bogle, Jim Creighton, Darlene Zamluk and Frank Mottl — will be reading some of their work. For a meal or a drink and some more live, local music, catch Good Enough Dave playing at Session Taproom + Kitchen, Luke Blu Guthrie at Beach Fire Brewing, and, to round out the night, Sibling Harmony performing at Match Eatery & Public House.
Attendees are encouraged to pick up a passport at their first stop and collect stamps at each location they visit. With three stamps, you can enter to win gift certificates and other prizes from local merchants, with bonus entries for every additional stamp collected.
A Night Out Downtown is part of ongoing efforts by the City to animate the downtown core. The event is being coordinated by Spirit Square and Highway 19 Concerts.
