The City of Campbell River provides grants, leases and permissive tax exemptions to eligible non-profit organizations that operate within the city or provide a service or benefit to the Campbell River community.
In November 2024, Council approved changes to the City’s financial assistance processes and allocations. A new policy, the City of Campbell River Financial Assistance Policy <link>, is coming into effect and will be fully in place in 2026. More information on this policy, and grant writing workshops, events and resources to support non-profit organizations, will be made available as events are scheduled.
Community Grants
2025 Grant-in-Aid applications are now open and will be accepted until 4:30 p.m. on February 7, 2025. The grant-in-aid process is unchanged from 2024 and will look similar to previous years.
Non-Market Leasing of City owned Land and Facilities
Non-profit organizations offering community services in the public interest may lease or licence civic facilities or land at a nominal or reduced rent/fee.
The Non-Market Lease Application will be available soon.
