Cooper's Hawk Disc Golf Course

_MG_5615

Cooper’s Hawk Disc Golf Course is located in the forested area of the Willow Point Sportsplex at 1800 South Alder Street, Campbell River. The course has 19 red pads (beginner), 19 blue pads (intermediate), and 9 gold pads (expert) that are sure to make the course fun for all ages and skill levels. The course is constantly evolving and the city did a major upgrade in 2020 that included new tee pads, alternate pin locations, new maps and hole signage, upgraded paths, drainage work, and new bridges. Additionally, the local disc golf club has regular maintenance days to keep the course in great shape. This free to play course is one of the best courses on Vancouver Island and worth a visit!

The course opened Saturday, June 7, 2003 and is a popular sport for the whole family. Disc golf is played like ball golf, using a flying disc. Need to rent a disc?  The Sportsplex office will rent you one. Pay $10 down for each disc (cash or credit card) and you will get an $8 refund when you return the disc. General all-purpose discs are on sale at the Sportsplex for $10 each.

Special thanks to our sponsors for providing the manpower and funds to build the course for the community: Finn Ronne, Royal Lepage Advance Realty, British Columbia Schizophrenia Society, Strathcona Toyota, Bill Matthews, Thrifty Foods, Cutting Edge Forest Joe Dowe, Kirk Auto Parts, NorskeCanada, Speedpro Sign Plus, Rotary Day Break, Merit Home Furniture & Appliance, Willows Neigbourhood Pub, and Highland Engineering Ludvigson Land Surveying.
