The City of Campbell River's Purchasing Department is responsible for the procurement of goods and services across the organization.
The Purchasing Department may:
- Contact vendors to request an informal quotation for goods and/or services; or
- Advertise formal (RFO, RFP, Tender) on BC Bid and provide documents on the Bids and Tenders section of the City's website.
Vendors are responsible for staying informed of current or upcoming procurement opportunities. In some cases, consistent with industry practice, Supply Management may contact selected known vendors to ensure they are informed of upcoming opportunities as they are posted electronically.
To assist vendors in staying up to date, the City does maintain a subscription service through Bid Opportunities however the City does not have the resources to personally contact all potential proponents of all opportunities.
