Work on a walkway upgrade on Cheviot Road, from Petersen Road to Westmore Road, will begin in early July and continue until August 30, 2024.

The work looks to improve pedestrian safety and minimize potential impacts on underground utilities. It includes the following elements:

• The pavement pathway will be located on the south side of Cheviot Road.
• The ditch will be infilled in multiple areas along the south side of Cheviot Road, and new manholes and drainage pipes will be installed.
• Low-profile concrete separators will separate the path from the road.

Road closures and detours may come into effect for parts of the project. Notifications will be sent to the local neighbourhood and Ripple Rock School, and the City will advise residents of disruptions on the City website and social channels.
