The City of Campbell River Fire Department, alongside the Campbell River Professional Firefighters Association, is holding the annual Pumpkin Smash event in the Strathcona Gardens Recreation Complex parking lot (225 South Dogwood Street) on Saturday, November 4, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Bring your pumpkins, and watch as they are dropped from the Campbell River Fire Department’s 101-foot tower truck before being sent to be composted.

Participation is by donation (cash or credit), with proceeds going to the BC Professional Fire Fighters’ Burn Fund and local charities. Please ensure that your pumpkins are free of inorganic materials like paint, glitter, candles, wax or stickers.
