REQUEST TO WORK 2021 LOCAL BY-ELECTION FORM
The City of Campbell River is putting out a call for people interested in working as election officials during the general local by-election on Saturday, February 27, 2021.
Some election processes have been amended and automated to align with COVID-19 precautions that protect both election officials and voters.
Preference will be given to people with previous experience as a municipal elections official using electronic voter registration software.
Hours of work for election officials on general voting day: 7:30 a.m. until approximately 8:30 p.m., with two options for shift length, 12 hours and 8 hours.
Refreshments and light meals will be provided.
Payment will be $22 per hour for the election day, including a mandatory online training session at 7 p.m. on February 10.
Please note: anyone who is involved in promoting an election candidate is prohibited from working as an election official.
People interested in working as an election official have until January 20 to apply.
