A temporary road closure will be in effect on 6th Avenue, between Alder Street and Island Highway, from Monday, April 17, until late September 2023. The closure will run from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays to facilitate storm main, sanitary main, water main, and road surface replacements. Local traffic and emergency vehicle access will be available.

Two-way traffic will be in place for most of the work, but intermittent disruption on the Island Highway at 6th Avenue will occur, and single-lane alternating traffic may be in place at times. Traffic disruption on Thulin Street between 5th and 6th Avenue may also occur.
