Live street events and new summer programming look to bring the community together in the downtown core and work toward the City’s Revitalize Downtown Initiative.
The recreation guide, complete with Live Streets events and summer programming from June through August, is returning this summer, and this year is available online.
“We are delighted to welcome the return of some long-standing community events this summer season,” says Meghan Lawley, the City Recreation Supervisor. “New programming has also been added to the schedule of activities offered to Campbell River residents and everything can now be explored online!”
New activities in the summer recreation guide include Salsa lessons, a Latin night during Live Streets, beginner Blacksmith classes, yoga sessions in Robert Ostler Park, and more. We also look forward to the opening of the Centennial Pool for some splashing and swimming in the sun! The Summer Recreation Guide includes activities for all ages and various interests.
