  • Last Blast of Summer

    Girls playing in the bubble pitSummer  is drawing to an end and school days are set to begin again.  Enjoy one Last Blast of Summer with your family and Campbell River Recreation.  Join us at the Splash Park for a fun filled evening with a wide variety of activities for the whole family.  There will be hotdogs, crafts, old fashioned relays, Bounce-a-rama, clowns,  and tons of opportunities for family free play.  End your summer with a splash!

  • Giant Indoor Garage Sale

    Garage Sale BagA giant indoor Garage and Crafter's Supply Sale will fill the Sportsplex Gym. Purchase a space to sell your gently used household items or clean out those sewing rooms and round up your craft projects and supplies cluttering your house.  

    Book early as space is limited. 

    When: Saturday September 29 , 2018

    Time: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

    Where: Sportsplex, 1800 S. Alder St.

    Cost: Free for Shoppers,
    $23.81 + gst per space, $4.76 + gst for a table




  • Zombie Escape- 4K

    Can you survive the apocalypse? This 4K zombie infested obstacle course will challenge your fitness, wit, and ability to avoid hungry zombies. Finish the race with at least one of your flags attached to survive.

    When: Sunday October 21, 2018

    Time: 1 to 3:30 p.m.

    Where: Sportsplex, 1800 S. Alder

    Cost: $10 individual/ $25 Family/ $50 for teams up to 10

    To run or volunteer as a zombie, please call 250-923-7911 to register.

    This event is in partnership with the Strathcona Regional District and Campbell River McDonald's.



     

  • Repair Cafe

    Repair Cafe LogoDon't toss it, fix it! Make broken or damaged items functional again, and keep them out of the landfill. Our repair volunteers will try to hep you fix your items that you bring in. If you can carry it, you can bring it to the Repair Cafe. Bring your bikes, electrical appliances, house hold items, power tools, jewelry, clothes and more. 

    When: Saturday November 3, 2018

    Time: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

    Where: Sportsplex, 1800 S. Alder

    Cost: Free



  • Christmas Market Place

    Christmas Marketplace ThumbnailAn opportunity for vendors to sell homemade Christmas baking, gift ideas, arts and crafts at a wonderful indoor Christmas Marketplace.  Wall spaces are 8'x10' centre spaces 10'x10'. Table rentals are available, or sellers may bring their own tables, shelves and racks.   Admission is free for shoppers and a concession is on site.  Proceeds from table renters support 50+ Active Living Programs.  Painting Show & Sale will be held upstairs in the lounge.      

    When: Saturday November 3 & Sunday November 4    10 a.m. - 2 p.m. 
                     
    Where: Community Centre Full Gym

    50+ Vendor Space Fee: $19.05

    Non Member Space Fee: $23.81

  • National Child Day

    A variety of fun activities for kids 6 years and under accompanied by a grown up! Includes Family Gym, Family Place, dancing, story times, cardboard city, and entertainers on the main stage. Join us in celebrating the children in our community.

    When: Friday, November 16, 2018

    Time: 9:30 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.

    Where: Campbell River Community Centre

    Cost: Free because we love our kids!




  • Toy & Craft Show and Sale

    Greeters at the Toy and Craft SaleOur Toy and Craft Show and Sale feature Vancouver Island and local crafters who hand craft jewelry, chocolate, tree decorations, soap, toques, scarves, tutu's, blankets, dried herbs, baking, smoked salmon and many, many  other goodies. There will be many other vendors who will be supporting Cameryn's Cause in Room 2/3.

    When: Saturday November 24 and Sunday November 25

    Time: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

    Where: Sportsplex, 1800 S. Alder

  • Family New Years Eve Celebration

    Clown making balloon animalsCelebrate a happy and healthy 2017 and welcome 2018 with a free family swim and skate.  Activities will be on the ice, in the pool and other locations in the building. Activities include:
