  • Plant & Jumble Sale

    Plant and Jumble ThumbnailCome and join us as we kick off the planting season with everything one would need for a beautiful flower or vegetable garden.  Featuring everything related to gardening including a 50+ Jumble and silent auction!  Make sure, mark it on your calendar, come, and check it out! Admission is free for shoppers and a concession is on site for coffee and snacks. Proceeds from table renters support 50+ Active Living Programs.

  • Youth Carnival Night

    Kick off Youth week with a fun-filled carnival night. We will have a 40 foot obstacle course, Horse Derby, and Laser Tag in the forest.

    $5 includes a hot dog, drink, and an entry into our prize draw. The more carnival games you play, the more entries you can win!

    Bounce A Rama will be on site with  Mini Cotton Candy $2 and Snow Cones $3

  • Hackathon

    Hackathon ThumbnailJoin us for Campbell River’s first ever Hackathon on May 2 -3. We want to bring high school students grades 9-12  to help develop a “Youth Friendly City”  in a creative and innovative way.

    What is a hackathon? 

    Using technology, you will be working in teams of up to 4 to create an app or website or whatever your heart desires.  There will be workshops, professional trainers and mentors to guide you through the process. Even if you’ve never coded before this is an opportunity to develop your skills work on a team and present to a panel.


    We want to reward you for all your hard work. There will be monetary prizes for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams. Values TBA.

    When: May 2, 2019; 3:30-6 p.m.  &  May 3, 2019;  9 a.m.- 5 p.m.
    Registration is due by  Friday April 19th

    Where: Sportsplex 

    Cost: FREE

    Food will be provided.

    Three full days of fun! This event is a celebration of creativity and a fundraiser for Specialized Recreation Programs, come and be amazed!

    • Peoples Choice Gallery (submissions to the gallery welcome)

    tomorrow." Aging is an inevitable part of life – and it takes a toll on the individual, as
    well as their support network. Aches and pains, memory loss and slips and falls can
    make getting older even more difficult. The good news? With the right amount of
    activity, it is possible to stay strong, maintain mobility and stay independent. Want to
    enjoy your ‘Golden Years’ by keeping your brain sharp and body strong?

    Program Schedules will be available at the Community Centre & Sportsplex on May 1st.

  • Bike To Work and School Week

    BTWW ThumbnailJoin us this spring for Bike to Work & School Week. This is a province-wide annual event that celebrates and promotes cycling as a healthy, convenient, efficient, low-cost and socially responsible means of transportation. During Bike to Work Week commute to work, school, or play and drop by one of the Bike Week Celebration Stations to win prizes and enjoy food and refreshments. Anyone can register individually, or as a team, on the BC Bike to Work Week website and log their cycling commutes.

    We are excited…

    Celebrate everything that makes our local parks some of the best places to be.
    There will be free activities all month long, showcasing all our amazing parks have
    to offer. Activities may include guided forest and park walks, yoga in the park, kids
    obstacle course, tennis, outdoor pickleball, 3 on 3 basketball and more.
