Campbell River homeowners can take advantage of several home renovation rebates offered through the CleanBC Better Homes and Home Renovation Rebate Program, a partnership between the Province of BC, BC Hydro, and FortisBC. Homeowners may also be eligible for additional rebates offered directly by the City. Check out the rebates below to determine what you might be eligible for.

A home energy evaluation can help you understand the best energy upgrade options to improve your home’s energy efficiency, comfort and decrease your home’s energy costs. Receive a $300
EnerGuide Home Evaluation Rebate from CleanBC Better Homes. In addition, the City of Campbell River offers its residents an additional $150 home energy evaluation top-up rebate.  Learn more about Municipal Top Up offers here .

 CENTRAL SYSTEM AIR SOURCE HEAT PUMP INCENTIVE PROGRAM

Residents of Campbell River can receive up to up $3,350 for installing a Variable Speed Central system Air Source Heat Pump. This program aims to encourage fuel switching from fossil fuel heating like natural gas, propane and oil to air source heat pumps throughout Campbell River.


Who is Eligible:

  • Residents of Campbell River switching to a qualifying Variable Speed Central Air Source Heat Pump.


Benefits of Participating:

 

Qualification Requirements:

  • Heat pump system requires pre-approval prior to installation.
  • Must be installed on or after September 28, 2018.
  • The application form must be submitted within 6 months of the upgrade invoice date.

 

CLEANBC BETTER HOMES AND HOME RENOVATION REBATE PROGRAMS

 

There are a variety of home upgrades that are eligible for rebates though the Better Homes and Home Renovation Rebate Program, which is administered by the Province of British Columbia. For details on the full program, visit their website at https://betterhomesbc.ca/rebates.


 

Who is Eligible:

  • Homeowners who homes are electric or gas heated only, with upgrades completed on or after September 28, 2018.


Benefits of Participating:

  • Up to $10,000 in rebates to make your home more comfortable and energy efficient for select upgrades.
  • Bonus offers for making two or more upgrades.
