Yard waste collection continues to be disrupted due to high volumes, alongside contractor delays and staffing issues.

The City understands the inconvenience this causes, and we are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience as we work with Emterra to resolve these service disruptions and collect the high volumes of yard waste, as much as 39 tonnes per collection day.

While we work on a solution, residents are asked to place yard waste on the curb on regular collection days. If yard waste collection does not occur on your regular day, contractors will work to catch up the following day. The contractor is currently operating one day behind the regular collection schedule. If your collection day changes, we will notify residents on social media and through the Campbell River Recycles app.
