The waterfront sewer main, built in 1972, is a critical piece of infrastructure that needs to be replaced to support new growth in the community and help protect the waterfront.
Work got underway in February 2020 at the beginning of Rotary Beach Park, heading northward, first finishing the pipe installation and then moving forward with two new lift stations scheduled to be constructed.
This sewer work is part of the Waterfront Project 2018-2020. For updates about other construction making up that project in 2020, visit the Highway 19A Upgrades project webpage http://www.campbellriver.ca/city-services/capital-improvement-projects/current-projects/overview---under-construction/overview
Getting Around During Construction
