Municipal Broadband straight logo

Work under this project includes the expansion of the City's municipal broadband network by installing micro-duct conduit containing broadband fibre to allow increased opportunity to access the City's CR advantage program. In 2021, 10th Avenue between Alder and Cedar Street will see this installation, as well as on 11th Avenue by the Community Centre to the Tidemark and Library as part of the Vancouver Island Regional Library (VIRL) project.

The CRadvantage fibre optic network is an economic development initiative to delivery low cost, high speed internet access in the downtown core.
