The city-owned facility that houses the Tidemark Theatre was built in 1946. The Art Deco design has been an iconic building in downtown Campbell River for decades, specifically due to its unique colour. In our efforts to continue to refresh and revitalize the downtown core, the City will be undertaking exterior painting of the facility and we want to know, "What you think about the Pink".
The Tidemark Theatre and Library buildings will both receive fresh exterior paint – each building will be painted its own colour to create an identity for each use. The Library will be cleaned up with a new contemporary colour and crisp white trim. The back wall of the facility will be painted a transitional light-grey. The Tidemark Theatre has indicated that they wish to keep an element of their pink colour, which has become a key part of their branding (Did you know that even the phone number for the Tidemark Theatre is 250-287-PINK?).
Based on this information, the City has created three concepts that provide different variations on the amount of pink on the exterior of the Theatre. Complete this survey (link below) to have your say on the look, feel and character of the Tidemark Theatre!
