At various stages of construction, you must have the work inspected and approved.  The required inspections for your permit will be listed on your Building Permit placard, which is to be placed in your building for the Building Official sign off on once the inspection has been completed.

Calling for Inspections

Contact the Development Services Department on 250-286-5757 to request a building inspection. Requests must include the address of the site and type of inspection. If possible, please provide 48 hours notice. All work being inspected must be complete and ready at time of inspection with building permit placards and plans available on site at time of inspection.

Please note that the site and the building works must be in a safe condition for the Building Official to perform the inspection, which includes having the street address posted on the work site.
