The following document outlines what is allowed and not allowed with your weekly pick-up as well as alternatives for disposal and recycling.
Residents can purchase garbage tags for $2.50 at City Hall, the Community Centre and the Sportsplex. Each single use garbage tag is good for one extra container (maximum 80 litres).
Make sure all recyclable items are in your blue bin. Consider taking other recyclables to a recycling depot or to one of the many multi-bin sites throughout the City. For more information visit www.campbellriverrecycles.ca
You can also refer to your Yellow Pages EcoGuide for an extensive list of where you can recycle end of life products or, contact the Recycling Council of BC at 1-800-667-4321 online at www.rcbc.bc.ca.
The basic weekly service is one 80 litre can (maximum 20kg/44lbs). Additional cans will be collected if a Garbage tag is attached. Single use tags can be purchased for $2.50 at City Hall, the Sportsplex and the Community Centre.
The Campbell River Waste Management Centre is administered by the Comox Valley Regional District.
The Landfill is open from 8:30am to 5:30pm, 7 days a week and is located on Argonaut Road, just off the Gold River Highway (Hwy 28).
